Laith Obeidat

Chief Finance Officer

Laith Obeidat is Taqeef’s Chief Financial Officer, reporting to CEO Tariq Al Ghussein. As CFO Laith oversees all accounting, financial planning and analysis, legal and logistics functions at Taqeef.

Laith has over twenty-two years of experience building and leading finance teams in the region. He began his career working for Arthur Andersen and went on to work in strategic finance and operating roles in a number of the UAEs most successful businesses. He originally joined Taqeef in 2002, working for three years as Group Finance Director. He returned to the company in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer. His principal remit is to ensure Taqeef’s increasing operating scale and complexity is underpinned by a robust financial structure.

Laith holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Yarmouk University. He also holds Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Arab Certified Professional Accountant (ACPA) accreditations from the International Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA).
