Director - Operations UAE

Safwan Balas is Taqeef’s Director of Operations, reporting to Maamoun Al Ghussein – Chief Operating Officer, UAE. His role encompasses the whole of the UAE, a total workforce of over 300 talented people. He is responsible for ensuring Taqeef’s process mapping, organisational planning and departmental development is robust and agile – reflective of the company’s expanding footprint.

Safwan joined Taqeef at the beginning of 2016 in the role of Operations Director. Prior to this he worked in a variety of business development and strategy roles in government and private sector organisations throughout the UAE, latterly at Orion Holdings. He has also worked extensively as a consultant, representing the interests of many of the Region’s business leaders in their Middle East and global ventures.

Safwan graduated in 1998 with a BSc in Business Administration from Mutah University. He also holds an MBA in Project Management from Al Ghurair University.
