China-headquartered Midea, in collaboration with its distributors Taqeef, launched its next-generation VRF systems V6 at an event held in Dubai on 26 April, 2017.
The event began with Tariq Al Ghussein, CEO of Taqeef, talking about various projects where the V6 systems were applied, followed by Dr Franks Wu, VP and head of R&D at Midea Commercial Air Conditioner (CAC), providing a brief overview of Midea and its V6 technology.
Peck Zhao, marketing manager at Midea CAC, elaborated on Midea’s new-generation full DC inverter V6 series that uses efficient and advanced technologies to provide reliable HVAC solutions for diverse applications. He stated that the V6 offered larger capacity and reduced footprint, claiming that the V6 was the world’s largest capacity single module outdoor unit at 38HP and a combination capacity at 128HP. At the same time, the V6 provided a 40% reduction in footprint compared to the previous generation. The other features were high efficiency, high reliability, an intelligent control system that connects with any intelligent building system using the new IMM pro platform, and a Mr Doctor functionality that allows the V6 system to automatically test, self-diagnosis and display error codes.
